Main Task: Music Video- Diegetic and Non Diegetic

During the opening to my music video, there is a close up shot where we see Alex lighting a cigarette. I decided to slow down the clip and keep the sound of the crackling of the lighter prominent in the video as I believed it creates symbolism. It represents the beginning. By using non diegetic sound (the music "Let it all go") and diegetic sound (lighter), it adds depth and a multidimensional feel to my music video as it attaches the music video and narrative to the audience's reality.
